Here’s the wrap skirt I made and wore to the first day of the school year (and actually got compliments from students and colleagues!).

Rainbow of Arts Festival

We loaded up the van this afternoon (after cleaning it out first — we found numerous jelly/chewy-like food products and a few socks stuffed in corners) so that we can go to the Rainbow of Arts Festival tomorrow.  We hope the weather holds, because we forgot to load up the carpets for wet ground, and we didn’t pack the tent walls.  Unfortunately, we didn’t leave any extra room in the van to add those things…  Oops.

Wish us luck - it is a new show for us.  If you live in the Richmond/Chesterfield area, come check us out at the Rockwood Park.

Here’s the smaller version of the satchel bag I made for my sister. She is trying to collect all the sizes and fabrics…

I bought a wrap skirt at a thrift store the other day (handmade) and decided that I needed to fill my wardrobe with wrap skirts out of all the fun fabrics I have. I’m going to start tinkering in the next week or two and then new wrap skirts will abound!

People have asked where we are located. Well, here’s my dining room/workshop. I just spent a day organizing it all, so it is currently the neatest it ever has been (and will be, really).  You can see Logan’s bed (our greyhound) — he vacated about 30 seconds before I took this picture.  Our next new product will be martingale collars.  I am making them to benefit the CGA (Colonial Greyhound Association of Williamsburg).  I just cut out materials for some Halloween collars that feature greyhounds and dalmations and the like.  I am excited!

I just finished these totes modeled after the smaller purse I made myself. I put in reinforced sides and a stiff bottom panel. Now I want to trade in my little one for one of these new ones!

The armoire in all its glory.  Unfortunately, it didn’t make it home safely from the last show.  We have some reconstructive surgery to do before Midge can go on the road again.  (Yes, I named her Midge.  I think it’s fitting.)

Here’s our booth at the Spring Bizarre Bazaar.  Who knew that vinyl tablecloths would work as curtains with a little help from Sheila and a grommet maker?
